September 2020 – Congratulations Chancellor State College & Community

In September 2020 Chancellor State College Talking Families Initiative won a Qld Child Protection Week Award at Parliament House in the category of “Thriving Communities.”

Chancellor State College was the first Talking Families School in Queensland and the model developed with our partners has now been replicated in over 100 other schools and child care services across the State. 

Our Talking Families partnership consists of Queensland Child and Family Commission, Chancellor State College community,  Act for Kids Family and Child Connect, Sunshine Coast Families Local Level Alliance, and Child Safety.

Chancellor State College Talking Families School Initiative officially launched 5th June 2018 and since that time we have been working hard to be leaders as a  Talking Families School to create a school community of supporting each other as parents, and building a culture where parents feel supported and comfortable seeking help from school staff and other parents.  

A huge congratulations to our College Staff, Parent and Community Engagement Team, Chappy Shane and our partner agencies.  We are so excited to be part of Our Chancellor Village.
